1. Introduction
Welcome to BirdReply ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about this privacy policy or our practices with regard to your personal information, please contact us.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the website or authenticate using Google OAuth.
- Account Profile Information: When you sign in using Google, we collect your Google user identifier (Sub ID), name, email address, and profile picture URL.
- Usage Data: We collect limited activation events such as page views, scans started/completed, opportunity opens, sign-up steps, reply generation, pricing/checkout actions, and return visits. Internal analytics excludes scraped post content and stores a hashed browser or user identifier.
- Relevance Feedback: If you mark an opportunity relevant or not relevant, we store the rating, optional reason, matching strategy, and hashed scan/opportunity identifiers so we can evaluate result quality.
- Email Preferences: Daily opportunity digests are opt-in. We store whether you enabled them and the last delivery time. You can pause them in My Scans or unsubscribe from any digest.
- Shopify Catalog Data: If you install BirdReply - Selling agent, we read selected product titles, descriptions, types, vendors, tags, public product URLs, and images. We do not request access to Shopify customers or orders.
3. How We Use Google User Data
We use your Google account information for the following specific purposes:
- To create and manage your BirdReply user account.
- To verify your identity and authorize access to premium features.
- To personalize your experience in our dashboard (e.g., displaying your name and profile picture).
We do not sell, trade, or share your Google user data with any third parties. All Google user data is used strictly for authentication and account management within BirdReply.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy
BirdReply's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Shopify App Data
Shopify catalog data is used only to generate product-relevant public discussion searches and display results to the authenticated store. BirdReply does not change products, publish replies, or sell Shopify merchant data. Shopify privacy and uninstall webhooks are handled by the app. When the app is uninstalled, its Shopify access token is revoked and the associated app session is deleted.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services to you. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting our support team. Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete your user profile and all scanning history from our databases within 30 days.
